These are our guiding questions this week. Please take a look at this introductory video to get you started. It will help explain the activities and resources below.

Activities

1. Join our Slack course site: https://digpinsdavidson.slack.com/signup. Update your profile with a picture and say hi! in the general channel. Since we will be interacting completely online even though we are on the same campus and in the same physical space, share a picture or tell us about a place on campus you like. Also, let us know what days and times (mornings, afternoons, evenings) are best for synchronous sessions. (These will be 30 – 45 minutes long and will only happen once a week.  There is not a synchronous session this week).
2. There are 2 readings for this week posted below.
3. As a way to think and talk about your digital identity, make a visitor / resident map of how you engage on the web and post it in Week 1 channel in Slack. 4. If don’t already have one, start a Twitter account. Your account can be connected to your name or can be anonymous. If anonymous, please share with the group. If you are new to Twitter you can take a look at this: Maximizing Your Learning on Twitter.
5. Write a blog post (by the end of the week) with us as your intended audience (although you may have other audiences in mind). This week’s post can be a response to the readings, to the visitor / resident activity, or anything else you find related. You can either post directly in our course website or if you already have an active blog, you can post there as well. I will be adding everyone to the course website so please keep an eye out for the invite.
6. Take a look at colleague’s posts and comment either directly in their platform or in Slack.
